Placing an order with Direct Tile Warehouse

Placing an order is super simple – either shop online or contact our friendly team. We are open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

Wastage

“What’s wastage?” we hear you ask. Wastage is an additional amount of tiles purchased to account for cuts, mistakes, and breakages. When you are estimating quantities, we recommend that you over order by around 10-15%. Please speak to your tiler to estimate the amount of wastage you need for your particular project, as it will vary, depending on the size/shape of your room and the tiles you wish to purchase.

Samples

Our cut samples are the perfect way to try before you buy and are completely free of charge! You can see how the tiles will look in your room at certain times of the day. you can order 4 free cut tile samples. For full tile samples or more than 4 cut samples, there will be a charge.

Payment

We accept payment by credit or debit card. If you prefer to contact the team we can also accept cheque, credit card (e.g. Visa, Mastercard) and debit cards plus BACS transfers. We do not charge any handling fee for credit and debit cards.

Delivery – FREE on orders over £400 (exclusive of VAT) to Mainland England, Scotland and Wales*

Once placing an order is taken care of, we organise delivery to you, usually via a third party carrier. We will agree on a delivery charge and date with you after placing your order.

  • If the order is for less than £100 (exclusive of VAT), you will have to pay for delivery at £33.00 (£27.50 excl.VAT).
  • If the order is for between £100 and £400 (exclusive of VAT) delivery will normally be £30.00 (£25.00 excl. VAT)*.
  • In most circumstances, if the order is for over £400 (exclusive of VAT) to mainland England and Wales (as well as most mainland areas of Scotland), we will pay the costs for standard delivery.
  • Standard delivery usually takes place within five working days after we receive payment for the tiles you are ordering. Standard delivery will be on normal weekdays between 8am and 5pm You pay extra for Saturday deliveries which take place between 8 am. and 12 noon.

We do not make any profit on delivery charges. These are all the prices charged by the third party carriers.

* A few postcode areas in England, Wales and Scotland may incur an additional charge which we will advise you of prior to purchase. We are charged a premium for delivery to specific postcode areas by the third party carriers.

Out-of-stock tiles

On rare occasions, we may be out of stock of the items you order. We will notify you of this situation when you place the order, and advise you of when they will be back in stock, or suggest an alternative solution.

Special order tiles

If a tile has a code on our website including the letters WEB, it is a special delivery tile. This will also be indicated on the product page. These are tiles that we do not have in stock but have to order on request. Delivery can take up to 6 weeks, but it will be worth the wait! We will keep you informed about your tiles journey by email.
