Moroccan Patterned Tiles Floor Transformation

Moroccan Patterned Tiles Floor Transformation

A recent customer project from long-standing customer Nigel Davies shows how effective Moroccan patterned tiles can be for creating a striking feature floor.

Nigel used our Moroccan Patterned Tiles together with Grout 3000 Dark Grey to transform a tired and uneven floor into a bold patterned surface with a clean, professional finish.

The Challenge: A Floor 21mm Out of Level

Before the tiles could even be installed, the floor needed significant preparation.

As Nigel explained:

“The floor was 21mm out of level! Not anymore 🥳”

Once the surface had been levelled correctly, the Moroccan patterned tiles could be laid evenly to create a decorative and durable floor.

Why Moroccan Patterned Tiles Work So Well

Moroccan patterned tiles are a popular choice for homeowners and installers looking to add character and visual interest to a space. Their repeating geometric designs create a statement floor while still working well with a wide range of interior styles.

They are particularly effective in areas such as:

  • Kitchens

  • Hallways and entranceways

  • Utility rooms

  • Feature floors in open-plan spaces

Patterned porcelain tiles combine decorative style with the durability and low maintenance that porcelain tiles are known for, making them ideal for busy areas of the home.

The Finishing Touch: Dark Grey Grout

Nigel finished the installation using Grout 3000 Dark Grey, which helps frame each tile and emphasise the pattern.

Using a darker grout with patterned tiles offers several benefits:

  • Defines the pattern clearly

  • Adds contrast and depth to the floor

  • Helps disguise everyday wear in high-traffic areas

The dark grey grout works particularly well with Moroccan patterned tiles, giving the finished floor crisp lines and a strong visual impact.

After levelling and tiling, the floor was completely transformed. The Moroccan patterned tiles create a bold focal point while the dark grey grout highlights the detail in the design.

A great result from Nigel, and a perfect example of how patterned tiles can turn a challenging floor into a standout feature.
